With a contemporary focus, balancing bright cascading guitars, waves of distortion and tightly wound rhythms surrounding the band’s lyrical concerns upfront: class, generational disaffection, and the peculiar melancholy of Northern England. Stannington carve out their own space in the North Easts music scene assembling via other acts, with a present sharp take on British Indie and the warmth of Northumbrian folk. Following a UK-wide tour after the release of their debut singles Through You and Roads, they return this spring with the Farmers Market EP. Looking ahead, their debut LP is set to arrive in late 2025.
