The Early Purple is the project of Northumbrian musician Matt Saxon, a multi-instrumentalist whose deeply introspective approach to songwriting delves into themes of mental health, personal growth and living & growing up in the North East of England. Known for his work with acclaimed North East acts like Little Comets and The Dawdler, Matt has spent the last decade contributing to the region’s vibrant music scene while quietly gathering a repertoire of his own.
